Who are the Academic Achievement Team and how can I contact them?

The Academic Achievement Team is here to help you get the most out of your studies and become more effective, independent learners. We are a team of 3 academic skills advisers,  3 librarians and 1x statistical methods and software specialist. We help students progress between different levels of study and realise their own unique potential.

By engaging with our online resources or coming to our drop-in sessions and workshops, you will gain confidence and make the next step in your learning more achievable. Whatever stage you are at in your studies - foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate - we are here to help!

The AA Team offer academic skills guidance on:

  • time management

  • effective reading & note taking

  • researching your topic area

  • essay planning, structuring & writing

  • understanding plagiarism and academic integrity

  • critical & reflective thinking

  • understanding & learning from feedback

  • data analysis using SPSS or NVivo

  • exam preparation
